RTI intros edge-to-cloud platform for Industrial IoT
RTI just introduced its RTI Connext DDS 5.2, a unified Industrial Internet of Things platform designed to deliver low-latency data distribution and scalable load balancing for cloud analytics. The software manages application-to-application data exchange at both the network edge and in the cloud.
Connext DDS supports all fundamental communication patterns typically used in the IIoT. Specifically that is publish/subscribe for distributing streaming data and asynchronous events, request/reply for controlling and managing devices, and queuing for scalable processing. All are built on the Data Distribution Service standard to reduce integration costs and simplify administration by reducing the need for adapters and the number of technologies needed to do the work.
