RTI Joins Consortium To Speed Delivery Of Safe, Affordable Autonomous Vehicles

An auto industry consortium aimed at bringing safe and affordable autonomous vehicles to market faster has added a member it believes can help break the logjam created by multiple operating systems and architectures.

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Real-Time Innovations Inc. (RTI) said today it has joined the Autonomous Vehicle Computing Consortium (AVCC). Leading automakers such as General Motors Corp. and Toyota Motor Co., along with a number of Tier 1 suppliers and semiconductor companies are members.
